Egg Canvas is a visual journal by Erica Choi, an NYC-based creative director and content creator. Erica is also a licensed esthetician and the founder of Superegg, a wellness-first, vegan skincare brand inspired by the holistic Korean beauty philosophy and the egg's nutritional values for the skin.
This site is a destination for fashion, beauty, travel, and lifestyle stories and launched in July 2014 as an extension of Erica's successful Instagram account @eggcanvas.
Graduating with a BFA in Graphic Design from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and her career as a design director in the luxury industry have led Erica to continuously develop a keen sense of refined aesthetic. behind THE NAME
The meaning behind the name Egg Canvas comes from dalgyal, which means egg in Korean. It is a nickname from childhood, for her face shape resembles one of an egg. Egg and Canvas work together as a metaphor for life, as life is about creation and a blank canvas that can be dreamt up and painted anew everyday.
